Riding underground from Tahrir Square Liberation Square also known as “Martyr Square”, is a major public town square in downtown Cairo, Egypt. The square has been the location and focus for political demonstrations in Cairo, most notably those that led to the 2011 Egyptian revolution and the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak.

The name of the Moski was launched on this ancient neighborhood in relation to Prince Izz al-Din, a relative of Sultan Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi, who established the Qantara, known as Qantara al-Muski, and there is a street in the name of Prince Muask from the street of Abdul Aziz, in memory of the founder of this ancient neighborhood.
